Jerry L. Stacey's Obituary
Jerry L. Stacy, age 64, of Moorpark, California, died Monday, February 7, 2005, at his home in Moorpark, California. He was born the son of the late Charles Ocie Stacy and the late Nora Lou (Collier) Stacy on October 16, 1940 in Tolleson, Arizona.He attended Tulsa Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, receiving his GED while he was in the U.S. Navy. Jerry served in the Navy for 10 years and received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal. Upon his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, he was employed for 30 years as a computer programmer with Pagetc, Inc. in California.On December 30, 1966, he was united in marriage to Linda Veach in Lincoln, Nebraska.He was preceded in death by: his parents and a sister, Helen Stacy.Jerry is survived by: his wife Linda; sons James Stacy of Springfield, Missouri; Jason Stacy of Moorpark, California; stepson Daniel Yates of Queen City, Missouri; granddaughter Jessica Stacy of Springfield, Missouri; and sister Deloris Farris of Purcell, Oklahoma.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Don Rowland officiating. Burial with full military honors, conducted by the Unionville, Missouri American Legion Post, will follow at the Rose Cemetery near Graysville, Missouri. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2005 from 9:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with the family present from 9:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or any Veteran's organization, and can be left at or mailed to the To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Jerry L.
