Jerry could always procure a laugh.. His sense of humor brightened anyone's day. A fond memory I have of him is one day he was telling us of someone who passed way. He said without missing a beat that this person had bought the farm. Those of us in the conversation-- now confused, interrupted him, making him repeat what he said. Seeing the look on our faces he continued, You know, kicked the bucket (Duh, of course that's what he meant!) We spent the next 20 minutes running every metaphor we could think of; some new, some cliche to describe someone passing away.. We laughed until our bellies ached and we had tears. God love you, Jerry! You'll be missed, and we are glad to rest in the peace of knowing you secured your farm a long time ago by trusting in Christ as your Savior. Praying for peace and comfort for your family and loved ones. What a Day that Will Be.
