Jerry Felton's Obituary
William Gerald "Jerry" Felton, 79 of Centerville passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, Missouri.
Jerry was born to Harry & Hilda (Whisler) Felton on February 8, 1944. He received his education from Moulton Udell High School, graduating in 1962. Jerry was united in marriage to Janice Ogden on April 11, 1965 in Unionville, Iowa at Fairview Church of the Brethren. To this union, four children were born: David, Amy, Brian and Andrew.
Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army Corps, serving in the Vietnam War. He worked his entire life on the farm and for a time was an over the road truck driver. Jerry served in the American Legion in Unionville, Iowa.
Jerry was a past youth baseball coach for his kids. He enjoyed playing cards and time with his family, especially his grandchildren.Survivors include his children: Amy Belloma (Nic), Brian Felton (Martha), Andrew Felton (Molly), grandchildren:
Bailey (Jesse) Moorman, Maggie Belloma, Tate Felton (Bailey), Libby Felton, Luke Felton, Lane Felton, Levi Felton, Lincoln Felton, Lindsey Felton, Bentley Felton, Brantley Felton, Blake Felton; and great grandsons, Oakley and Thatcher; siblings: Jeanne Pahl, Larry Felton (Marla), Steven Felton (Linda), sister-in-law, Cheri Felton Schnelle and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Janice on January 24, 2018, infant son, David, infant brother, Gary Lee, brother, James Felton and brother-in-law, Joe Pahl.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 29, 2023 with family present from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
