Jerrico "Jake" Jeremy Chapman's Obituary
Jerrico "Jake" Jeremy Chapman, age 49, of Muscatine, formerly of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at his home in Muscatine.
Jake was born on November 10, 1974 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Robert and Rebecca (Kirkland) Chapman.
Jake worked and lived in several places throughout his life. He worked at Nickleback in Centerville with his parents for many years until his mom passed away. He also worked as a gas station attendant for Circle K in Muscatine. In his free time, Jake enjoyed hanging out with his family, especially around the holidays. He was an amazing father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to all who knew him. He loved being outdoors whenever he could be, as well as collecting swords and fishing. He was also known for his amazing cooking abilities, making the best food from scratch.
Left to honor Jake's memory are his father, Robert Chapman; his children, Tamara (Hal) Chapman, Makayla (Cole) Chapman and Katrina (Robert) Chapman; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Foster, Anastasia Foster, Rosealee Chapman, Sapphire Chapman, Asilynn Chapman, Arya Ornduff, Delainey Orduff, and Ava Chapman Conaway; his siblings, Renee Cossolotto and Ericka (Travis) Ashby; his nieces and nephews, Maranda Cossolotto, Bryanna Schenk, Eriney Ashby, Hayden Ashby, Nolan Ashby and Kenzi Ashby; as well as several extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Jake was preceded in death by his mother, Becky Chapman; his paternal grandparents, Archie and Aline Chapman; his maternal grandparents, Leslie Kirkland and Norma Cicco.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. Services will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Numa Cemetery in the near future.
