Jeremy DeVore Obituary's Obituary
JEREMY DEAN DeVORE Jeremy Dean DeVore was born on November 25, 1973 in Corydon to Vicki DeVore. He died unexpectedly at home on August 18, 2014 at the age of 40 years. Jeremy graduated from Wayne Community High School with the class of 1994 and attended Indian Hills Community College for a short time. He was a longtime volunteer at the Prairie Trails Museum and loved going to the sprint car races to push cars. Jeremy always had a smile on his face. He would do anything for anybody. He was a great dog walker, walking his aunt's dogs when they worked or traveled and the neighbor's dog when school was in session. Several people knew him as 'the paper boy' because he had a paper route for several years. He was a great navigator and loved to travel laying out and directing several road trips with his Aunt Susie. He loved weather and was the 'weather watcher' for WHO-TV13 for several years, reporting the daily weather to the station. Jeremy loved hot spicy food, always trying to get someone tricked into trying one of his new found concoctions. Jeremy is survived by his mother and step father, Vicki and Ken Jones of Corydon, aunts Susie DeVore and Mary Ann (Bob) Little of Corydon, Betty (Jim) Reel of Mt. Sterling, uncle Jimmy (Tami) DeVore of Corydon, and uncle Billy DeVore of Williamson and uncle Larry (Karen) DeVore of rural Chariton, step grandparents Dick and Myrtle Jones of Chariton, Ken's sister Pam (David) Raymie of Knoxville, Ken's brothers Kevin (Donna) Jones of Knoxville, Keith Jones of Chariton, Kip (Kelly) Jones of Colorado, and Kurt Jones of Minnesota. Other survivors include great aunt June Halferty of Numa, great aunt Muriel Sponsler of Humeston, great uncle Paul DeVore of Williamson and many cousins and friends. Jeremy was preceded by his grandma Florence DeVore and grandpa Rex DeVore. Jeremy was a kind and loving son, grandson and nephew and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
