Jeff Grundy's Obituary
Jeff Grundy, age 68 of Mystic, Iowa passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Golden Age Care Center in Centerville.
Jeff was born in Centerville, Iowa on November 13, 1952, the son of Robert and Betty (Wells) Grundy. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1970.
He was employed in the transportation field for several years as a diesel mechanic, as well as an over the road truck driver. Most recently, Jeff drove a dump truck for Rod Joiner.
In his younger years, Jeff enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hunting. He also enjoyed watching old western movies.
Left to honor Jeffs memory include his daughter, Tecia Husted of McPherson, Kansas; his grandson, Corwin; a sister, Pam McMahon of Centerville, Iowa; eight nieces and nephews, Heather (Glen) Koller of Tucson, Arizona, Teressa (Mike) Bogle of Centerville, Iowa, Bob Maddaleno of Cedar, Iowa, Melanie Maddaleno of Bellevue, Nebraska, Tara (David) McArthur of Des Moines, Iowa, Brandon Gooden of Centerville, Iowa, Josh (Loretta) McMahon of Mystic, Iowa, and Farrah (Ryan) Maddaleno of Ankeny, Iowa; also surviving are several great nieces and nephews; as well as a host of lifelong friends, including Rod Joiner of Plano, Iowa.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Grundy; a sister, Barb Maddaleno; and a brother-in-law, Keith McMahon.
According to family wishes, cremation has been accorded. A private family service will take place in the near future. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Jeffs grandson Corwin, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
