Jeannie K. Booth's Obituary
Jeannie K. Booth, age 69, of Centerville, Iowa passed away Monday, May 7, 2018.
Jeannie was born on January 9, 1949 in Centerville, the daughter of Willard and Ethel (Phelps) Brown. In September of 1978, she was united in marriage to William 'Bill' Booth in Missouri.
Jeannie was a CNA for 20 years, several of those years at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville. She was also the Activity Director at Bloomfield Nursing and later, at Centerville Nursing and Rehab.
Jeannie enjoyed sewing, walking her dogs, watching 'American Idol' and other true crime shows. She was fond of gardening, especially flowers. She loved spending time and conversing with family and friends.
Left to cherish Jeannie's memory are her daughter, Lisa (LeRoy) Brown of Centerville; her 'other' daughter, Brenda McMahon-Howington of Centerville; two dogs, Gracie and Sophie; two siblings, Rollie Brown and Roger Brown; two grandchildren, Chelsey (Adam) Wentz and Jacob (Molli Lemen) Brown; a step grandchild, Jamie (Chris) Chester; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Booth; her parents, Willard and Ethel Brown; her paternal and maternal grandparents; a son, Jefferey Dean Booth; and two brothers, Frank Brown and Willie Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Shurmaine McAlpine officiating. Burial will follow the service at Elgin Cemetery, in Mystic. A visitation will take place Friday, May 11, 2018 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with the family greeting friends from 5-7PM. A memorial has been established to the Jeannie K. Booth Memorial, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
