Jeanine Zaputil-Bankson, 71, of Centerville, passed away on February 4, 2022 at Accura Healthcare in Pleasantville, Iowa.
Jeanine Sue Zaputil-Bankson was born on December 22, 1950 in Centerville, Iowa. She attended Centerville High School and graduated in 1969. Jeanine had three children: Jason, Danny, and Lisa.
Jeanine loved spending her time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She was passionate about researching her family's history and genealogy. Jeanine was a huge civil war buff. You could often find her listening to music.
Left to cherish Jeanine's memory are her siblings: Patty Ballanger (Frank), Joe Zaputil (Diane), Tom Zaputil (Mary Sue), Steve Zaputil (Deb), James Zaputil (Dorothy) and Rick Zaputil (Donna), her children: Lisa Sandberg (Mike), Jason Sandberg (Stacey) and Danny Sandberg (Kathy), her grandchildren: Ashley Melendy (Austin), Jarrett Sharp, Natasha Smith (Lakota) and Shania Sandberg, five step-great-grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, Ensley Smith, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Jeanine is preceded in death by her parents: Joe and Dorothy Zaputil.
Cremation has been accorded and no services are being held at this time. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa at a later date. Memorials may be given to Furever Friends and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
