Jeanie Mae Ocker's Obituary
Jeanie Mae Ocker, 46 of Moulton, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Jeanie was born to Delbert & Aretta (Corder) Ocker on March 22, 1975 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She received her education from Gardner-Edgerton High School in Gardner, KS in 1994. Jeanie would further her education and receive her CNA Endorsement. Jeanie worked for a time as a CNA until her health would no longer allow it.
Jeanie enjoyed attending church at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, singing and playing the Ukulele, crafting, socializing with her friends and playing on the GOPitch TV pool league team. Jeanie was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She was always quick to show her pride for the Chiefs.
Survivors include her father, Delbert Ocker, a brother figure, Jon David Crawford and numerous extended family. Jeanie was preceded in death by her mother, Aretta Ocker, grandparents and her fiancé, Jeff Taylor.
Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home in Moulton with Rev. Matt Pringle officiating. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery in Moulton. Visitation will be Friday, July 9, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home in Moulton from 1:00-7:00 pm, with family present from 5:00-7:00 pm. Memorials may be given to Delbert Ocker and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome. The service will be livestreamed at facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome or at facebook.com/ThePitchIA. To honor Jeanie's memory, please wear something KC Chiefs or Red/Yellow to the service Saturday. Tom Brady fans may attend the funeral, but are encouraged to sit on the porch outside.
