Jean M. Barton's Obituary
Jean Barton, age 76 of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Continental St. Joseph's in Centerville.
She was born August 30, 1932 in Centerville the daughter of Samuel and Rose (Gargliliano) Zuccarello. She graduated from Centerville High School. Jean married Clarence Barton in September of 1973.
Jean was a nurse's aide at Des Moines General Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She loved rummage sales, listening to music with her friends and traveling. Jean was a member of the 18-80 Club and St. Mary's Catholic Church, Centerville.
She is survived by four nieces and nephews Sam Creagan of Burlington, Iowa, Ron (Angie) Creagan of Centerville, Rose Crane and friend John of Centerville, Linda (Lyle) Kehrberg of Moravia; a sister Rose Cousens of Moline, Il; many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, parents, brothers Pete, Joe Charles and sister Mary and Pat.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Father Dennis Schaab officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. A visitation will be held Wednesday at the Lange Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 PM that evening. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Mercy Hospice and may be left at or mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
