Jay W. Long's Obituary
Jay Long, age 44 of Centerville formerly of Moravia, Iowa, passed away January 28, 2010 at Mercy in Des Moines, Iowa.
Jay was born March 12, 1965, the son of William hicks and Mary Margaret (Horstman) Long in Albia, Iowa. He graduated from Moravia High School and Indian Hills Community College as a machinist. Jay enjoyed watching drag racing.
Jay is survived by his children, Kevin William Long of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kassandra Rose Long of Cedar Falls, Iowa; siblings, Larry (Cathy) Long of LeClaire, Iowa, Rick (Gordie) Long of Cincinnati, Iowa, Kenny (Judy) Long of Moravia, Iowa, and Marie (Danny) Padget of Moravia, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Leta Pettibone.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Sunday afternoon, January 31, 2010 at the Lange Funeral Home, Moravia with Rev. Gene Kubli officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 2 - 8 PM at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8PM at the Lange Funeral Home, Moravia.
