Janice Louise West's Obituary
Janice West, 54, of Corydon passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 in Des Moines. Janice was born on September 13, 1961 in Chariton, Iowa to John & Joan (Cashatt) Tuttle. She received her education from Wayne County Schools graduating in 1980. Janice married James West in 1980, they later divorced. Janice worked at her mother's restaurant (Joan's Caf) for a time. She always considered herself as a homemaker. Raising the kids brought her great joy. Janice had a love for animals, including her dogs. She would take trips to the casino with her friends and family. Janice's family recognized her as someone who enjoyed taking care of others and cleaning her house and those of her children. Those that received her care were special to her, but nothing topped her grandchildren. Janice had a special spot in her heart for the grandkids. Survivors include, three girls: Jennifer Wilson (Lance) of Mercer, MO., Jona West (Kyle Gall) of Des Moines, Jessica Hysell (Dustin) of Allerton, four grandchildren: Trey & Aubrey Wilson, Jerica & Ava Hysell, her mother, Joan Tuttle, two siblings: Jeanne Baker (David) of Garden Grove, IA, John Tuttle (Cathy) of Clio, IA and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John Tuttle, two sisters: Judy Hamilton, Jolene Tuttle and a nephew, Josh Hamilton. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 at Thomas-Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon with Rev. Kenny Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Cambria Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Thomas-Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon.
