Janice Coleen Hayes' Obituary
Janice C. Hayes, age 74 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Golden Age Care Center in Centerville.
She was born August 15, 1937 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Zimmer and Lucretia Belle (Whitall). Janice attended the Centerville Schools.
Following her mother's death, Janice helped take care of her father, including household chores. In her free time she enjoyed baking and church activities. While in good health, Janice faithfully attended the Church of the Nazarene in Centerville.
She is survived by a brother, Bert (Hazel) Hayes of Lytton, Iowa; two sister-in-laws, Charlene Hayes of Centerville, Iowa and Irene Hayes of Melbourne, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Bueford Hayes, Clifford Hayes, Wiley Hayes, Wilbur Hayes, Ronald Hayes, and Wilfred Hayes; three sisters, Edna Pearl Wales, Olive Sleeth, and Wilma Hayes.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Walter King officiating. There will be no visitation held. Burial will follow in the Dale Cemetery, North of Centerville. A memorial has been established to the Dale Cemetery and may be given to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
