Janet DeVore's Obituary
Janet DeVore, age 68 of Plano, Iowa died Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2015 at her home.
Janet was born in Unionville, Missouri, the daughter of Walter Christian and Ivine Elva Swiger. She was united in marriage to Wendell DeVore on April 18, 1964.
Janet worked at Union Carbide (Viskase) in Centerville until she retired in September of 2000. She enjoyed her flower garden very much after retirement. She was also a member of the Plano Christian Church in Plano, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, Wendell DeVore of Plano, IA; Two sons, Wendell ""Wayne""(Mary) DeVore of Centerville, Iowa and Jeffrey Ray (Reggie) DeVore of Moravia, Iowa; Four Grandchildren, Tyler, Brett, Noelle, and Christian DeVore, and Five Great Grand Children, Kayden, Hayden and Keaton DeVore, William Klaus Hoffman and Adelyn Spinler; Two brothers, Edwin (Brenda) Christian of East Moline, Illinois and Paul (Jane) Christian of Unionville, Missouri.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ivine (Swiger) Christian; eight of her siblings, Orville Christian, Dwain Wyant, Everett Wyant, Phyllis Jean Christian, Betty Miller, Mary Alice Christian, Bill Christian, and Gerald Christian.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Plano Christian Church with Pastor Michael McKissick officiating. A memorial has been established to HCI (formerly Hospice of Central Iowa) or to the Crossroads Cemetery and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home & Crematory, Centerville. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Condolences may be left online at www.langefh.com.
