James 'Jimmy' T. Seddon's Obituary
James "Jimmy" T. Seddon, age 58 of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Tuesday July 26, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
He was born on March 25, 1958 in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of James and Nancy (Garr) Seddon. Jimmy married Peggy McGrann in 1976, and to that union two children were born, Jennisha and James W.
Jimmy loved the outdoors, especially when he was hunting and fishing with his friends and family. He especially loved his special fishing trips with Butch, Terry, Ducky, and Randy, and countless others. He worked at Reliable Culvert for over twenty years. He then went to work at Iowa Steele and Wire. His last employment was at HyVee in Centerville. He was known for his kindness, his generosity, and his love for his family and friends. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
Jimmy is survived by his parents, Nancy and James Seddon of Mystic; two children, Jennisha (Jack) Baker of Centerville, and James W. Seddon of Centerville; one brother, Ron (Franci) Seddon of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters, Charlotte (David) Robinson of Mystic and Peggy (Terry) Davis of Mystic; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a friend of ten years, Inez Hiatt of Centerville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James E. and Margaret Seddon of Mystic, and Roy and Lena Garr of Centerville.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa with Elder Jubal Beck officiating. A memorial has been established to the Highland Cemetery Association and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544. Condolences may be shared online at www.langefh.com. Lange Funeral Home in Centerville has been entrusted with caring for the family.
