James 'Roscoe' Wright, 81 of Cincinnati passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at The Continental Care Center in Seymour. James was born on April 11, 1930 to John & Icel(Richmond) Wright in Livonia, Missouri. He recieved his education at a little country side school house near Worthington, Missouri. James enjoyed reading, flying his model airplane, fishing and camping with family. James served his country from 1948-1950 as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne- United States Army. After an honorable discharge he went on to marry Dee Alda Gunter on December 3, 1951. James was a truck driver for 40 years. After his retirement he and his wife Dee traveled to Texas numerous times. James is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dee of Centerville, three daughters, Cindy Conn of Centerville, Cheryl(Dave) Irvin of Centerville, Amber McDonald of Centerville, sister, Joyce Wright of Centerville, three step-sisters; Sandy Lancaster of Iconium, Billie Wright of Kirksville, Missouri, Jenny Wright of Muscatine, seven grandkids, 17 great grandkids and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two brothers; Johnny and Jerry Wright and a grandson, baby boy Conn. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m..
