James Raymond Casey James Raymond Casey was born December 8, 1931 on a farm west of Allerton and died August 8, 2011 at the Westview Care Center in Leon. Ray, as he was affectionately known, attended Higley Elementary School then Allerton High School, graduating in 1950. Ray fulfilled his military service in 1956 to 1958. On February 14, 1958 he married Esther Davis. Ray lived all his life on the farm where he was born. He had a great respect for his land and also raised hogs and cattle. Ray was known for his ability to fix not only his own machinery, but he also would fix machinery for his neighbors. When something broke down, it was taken to Ray's shed for repair. Ray was preceded in death by his parents Gerald Casey and Collette (Clark), wife Easter, brother Leland Casey, and sisters Marjorie Edgerton and Lorene Lewis. Ray is survived by his two sons, Richard and David, grandchildren Andrew Casey, of Allerton, Erin Casey of Allerton, brother William Casey of Mercer Missouri, a host of nieces and nephews and good friend Nancy Wiltamuth of Allerton.
