James C. Fowler's Obituary
James Fowler, age 85, of Cincinnati, Iowa passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Jim was born October 25, 1924 the son of Roy Martin Fowler and Daisy Blanche (Morrow) Fowler in Freeburg, MO. He married Maxine Farris on August 25, 1945 in Troy, Kansas. Jim retired from Union Carbide and was an elder, Superintendent and teacher at the First Christian Church in Cincinnati. He was a veteran of WWII and was in the battles of Normandy, the Ardennes, the Rhineland and Central Europe Air Offensive in Europe where he received 6 Bronze Stars. Jim received his GED in 1973, he and his family were proud.
Surviving is his wife Maxine, daughter, Patty, 4 granddaughters Kathy (Rob) Perry, Nancy Buban, Melissa (Mark) Syferd, Alice (Cody) Heidenwith, Great grandchildren, Erin, Robbie, Alicia, Tanner, Tatum, Tabby, Trevor, Calvin and Zach, and a great great grandson Chace.
He was preceded in death by a Great grandson Joshua Ferguson, his parents, sisters Alice Reynolds, Ola Jones, brothers Nick Fowler and infant brother and sister.
