My first car had the dashboard stripped by the Hangman. It was a 1956 Ford. I will always remember that great artwork of a knight slaying a dragon.
I met Hangman and Lacy in Winter Park. He was doing complimentary pieces at Roger Holler Chevrolet on Fairbanks.I was amazed at how he used a 'PinStriper' brush. I watched as he would create charactatures in 15-20 minutes while talking to the person who would get it. I had just begun my business at Park Avenue Little Europe Shoppes. I an always early but Akways in a hurry. Hang painted a guy with long hair with tools in hand just truckin. I was thinking of where the '70 Volvo, he painted for me, is now. I see he passed 4 years ago on my sister's bday. Lacy, I am sad learning of Hang passing. You two are one of my life's fondest memories. Please accept my deepest sympathy.Lenny
Just read about the passing of Jim! I met Jim through working at the Porcupine Press in Upper Michigan. He was a great person- one of those Most Unforgetable Persons . He will always be loved by us and we'll miss his letters and antics!! Hearts out to all the lives he touched!!
