Jacqueline Steel's Obituary
Jacqueline June Steel, 93 of Centerville passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Centerville Specialty Care. Jacqueline was born to Leon & Myrtle (Walker) Rodgers in Cincinnati, Iowa on February 20, 1925. She received her education from Cincinnati High School and furthered it at Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Jacqueline was united in marriage to David "D.P." Steele. Jacqueline was employed as a librarian in Cedar Rapids Public Schools her entire career. She enjoyed being a librarian and reading. Jacqueline also enjoyed time with her family, cooking, baking and making candy. Survivors include a niece, Diana Brinegar (Ron) and a nephew, Mike Rodgers. She was preceded in death by her husband, David and a brother, Bob Rodgers. Mrs. Steel was cremated and a private family graveside will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, David.
