Jack R. Wells' Obituary
Jack Wells of Cincinnati, Iowa passed away Saturday February 17, 2007 at the University of Iowa Hospitals at the young age of 43.
He was born on March 8, 1963 to Lyle H. & Glenna (Jean) Hawkins Wells at their home in Cincinnati, Iowa. He attended Centerville Community Schools and graduated in 1982 and went on to follow his father foot steps as a farmer and trucker.
Jack is a loving father, husband, grandpa, son, brother, and uncle to all. He would always lend a helping hand to any one in need, and could make you laugh when you were having a rough time. He enjoyed many days sharing his farming knowledge with his children, nieces and nephews.
On December 31, 1986 he married Debbie Vandemark and to that union were three children, Chanda (Junior) Willingham of Des Moines, Iowa, Jaclyn Wells and Jason Wells both of the home and a granddaughter, Rilee Willingham.
He is preceded in death by his loving mother Glenna Wells in 2007, a child infancy, his parental grandparents Carl & Lydia Wells, maternal grandparents Dewey & Victoria Hawkins, nephews Eric Stewart & Lydle Wells and niece Janelle Wells, and brother-in-law Gary Shumaker.
He is survived by his loving father, Lyle H. Wells and sister Kathy (John) Cullor of Cincinnati, Iowa, Margie (Richard) Stewart of Cincinnati, Iowa, Jeanie (Dan) Shumaker-Siems, Athena (Clint) Heidenwith of Unionville, Missouri, Susie (Frank) Poland of Brashear, Missouri, and Pat (Ed) Womboldt of Shawnee, Kansas. Brother Lyle E. (Sonnie), John (Paula), Billy (Tammy) Wells all of Cincinnati, Iowa. Along with many nieces, nephews, and a special Aunt June Wells of Cincinnati, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Leon Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. Friends may call the funeral home all day Tuesday with the family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to the Jack Wells Memorial Fund and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
