JACK HUNTER Jack Hunter was born south of Pulaski, Iowa June 1, 1932. He passed away October 28, 2014 at the age of 82. He lived a good life as he was quick to say to all those in his world. He married Frances Joann Chadwick April 20. 1951. They had five children Michael Hunter (married to Jody Hunter) Des Moines, Iowa, Randy Hunter (Janis Hunter) Chariton, Iowa, Rusty Hunter (JoAnn Hunter) Mercer, Tennessee, Vicki Hunter, Seymour, Iowa and Becky Hunter, Mt Ayr, Iowa. He and Joann have 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Jack and Joann lived most of their adult life in Seymour. Jack was employed most of his working career in agricultural sales selling Harvest Stores and Morton Buildings around Seymour and the surrounding communities. Later in his working career he sold cars for Abbott Auto in Unionville, Missouri. After that he and Joann ran a Motel 6 in Columbia, Missouri until they retired. As a result of his work in the Seymour area, Jack knew many people in Seymour and surrounding areas. He could always share the family histories of those in Seymour and enjoyed doing so. He served a term as Mayor of Seymour from 1998 to 2002. He was always committed to making Seymour a better community. It would be his wish that any memorial funds would be donated to Seymour community betterment. Jack was an avid hunter of pheasant and quail. And he raised bird dogs as part of this. He would hunt with his sons. He also had a piece of timber land in Missouri that was good for hunting. His twelve grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. They are Jim Bingaman, Julie Wagner, Jeremy Hunter, Cheri Russell, Kelly Williams, Andy Joiner, Bryce Mc Murry, Jacob Hunter, Zeb Joiner, Blaine Mc Murry, Melissa Lammers, and Jarod Hunter. He was proceeded in death by his parents Floyd and Neva Hunter and his brother Don Hunter. Jack has two living siblings Joy Burton, Davis County Iowa and Joanne Campbell, Missouri Valley, Iowa.
