Jack Lee McGrann, 51 of Centerville passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Jack was born in Centerville on August 6, 1956 to Jack & Sandra(Gladfelder) McGrann. From a young age he was raised by his step-father Richard Parris in Centerville. He received his education at Centerville Schools. On September 23, 1978 Jack was united in marriage to Judy Logston in Cincinnati, Iowa. Jack was well known as 'Big Jack'. He enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandson Mason. He also enjoyed working on and riding motorcycles, cars(hot rods), tractor pulling and NHRA drag racing. Jack is survived by his wife Judy of Centerville, three children; Jason McGrann(Ashley) of Centerville, Jordana Bruxvoort(Matt) of Oskaloosa and Jayna McGrann at home. One grandson from Jason & Ashley, Mason Lee McGrann, his mother Sandra Parris of Ottumwa and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 21st at Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating. Visitation will be all day Wednesday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. At his request, he will be cremated and interment will be at a later date.
