Jack Norman Moore's Obituary
Jack Norman Moore, 90 passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Corydon Specialty in Corydon, Iowa after a short illness.
Jack was born February 5, 1934 to Glenn and Wilma (Gordon) Moore near Corydon, Iowa. He graduated from Corydon High School in 1952 and immediately started farming. In 1954 he entered into the US Army and after being discharged in 1956, he again farmed until he purchased a rock truck in 1962 and was a contract carrier at L & W Quarries. In 1979 he started working for Lucas County Secondary Road Department, retiring in 1996.
On February 4, 1994 he married Betty Trumper Roberts. They enjoyed taking many bus tours. Alaska being one of their favorites.
Jack is survived by his wife Betty; step-grandchildren, Michelle (Sean) Kelly, Dan Roberts, David (Carrie) Roberts; step-great grandchildren, Phillip and Evelyn Kelly.
He was preceded by his parents; sister, Winnie Denning; step-son, Harold Roberts; in-laws, Roy and Beulah Trumper, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Burial with Military Rites will take place Monday, November 24, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Corydon Cemetery in Corydon, IA.
