Jack Robert Guinn's Obituary
Jack Robert Guinn, age 76, of Springfield, Missouri, died on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at his home in Springfield. He was born the son of Andrew J. and Flossie (Probasco) Guinn on February 24, 1931 in Centerville, Iowa. He graduated from the Ottumwa Community Schools in 1948 and later attended William Penn College in Oskaloosa, Iowa. On January 27, 1951, Jack was united in marriage to Phyllis Sammon in Ottumwa, Iowa. He worked for the John Morrell Company for over 32 years and later became the Plant Manager for Boars Head Provisions in Virginia. He was a member of the Christian Church Disciples Christ in Ottumwa.He was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters, Deloris Kelly, Doris Clark, Lois Peterson, Mildred Grotts and Darlene Rominger.Jack is survived by: his wife, Phyllis Guinn of Springfield, Missouri; daughters, Cynthia Martin of Missouri, Dianna Lewis of Pennsylvania, Gigi Lane of Missouri, Suzanne Land of Arkansas, Tamela Shaw of Kansas and Sheila Peters of Missouri; a sister, Colleen Guinn of Missouri; fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.Graveside Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 1:00 pm at the Hilltown Cemetery south of Moulton, Iowa with Rev. Reg Higginbottom officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltown Cemetery.
