I am so sad to hear of Isabelle's passing. I have such fond, fond memories of her. When I was a kid, our family would go to Des Moines to visit her dad, Herman. And of course, we'd see Isabelle and Ruth, too. Isabelle would fix a huge breakfast. I still remember the smell of bacon frying in her kitchen. She was such a lovely person. Rest in peace, Belle. It's hard to say good-bye to such a loving and giving Lady. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She has been the Matriarch of our family for a long time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and for you. I am so blessed to have known Isabelle as an adopted Nana. My life has been impacted and blessed to have known her and the entire Gruwell family. I treasure the memories of listening to gospel music together, sharing a meal, worshipping together, and of course, never being allowed to leave your home until I played a song on the piano. Even in the valley of the shadow of death God is a comfort, and my prayer is that your hearts will be filled with that comfort as you reflect on the many special memories of someone so special.
