Irene Tuttle's Obituary
Irene Tuttle, age 85 of Cambria passed away on February 20, 2020 at Chariton Specialty Care. Emily Irene Tuttle was born in Missouri to Herbert and Emily (Fleming) Sliger on July 28, 1934. She was married to Clyde Tuttle on January 21, 1951 and they had three sons. Clyde and Irene just recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Irene worked as a cook for several years at Jimmy's Caf in Humeston. She remained the cook when ownership of the restaurant changed over to Wojo's Caf. She was very well known for her delicious pies that she baked. Clyde and Irene enjoyed dancing together and also playing Bingo. Bingo was one of their favorite things to do in the care center also. Irene was such a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she loved her family dearly. Irene is survived by son David Tuttle (Grace), son Eugene Tuttle (Kari), sister Verna Mae, grandchildren; Chad Tuttle (Veronica), Branden Tuttle, Shannon Brady (Sean), Crystal Polski (Matt), Tyler Tuttle, McKenzie Tuttle and numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde, son Jimmy Tuttle, brothers; Ernie, John, and Robert and sister Doris. A Graveside Service for Clyde and Irene Tuttle will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Corydon Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to join the family at a Celebration of Life Service immediately following the interment at the Cambria Baptist Church. Memorials may be given to the Chariton Specialty Care Activity Fund or a charity of the donor's choice in memory of Clyde & Irene.
