Ira L. Foglesong's Obituary
Ira Foglesong, age 95, of Moulton, Iowa passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Centerville Nursing and Rehab Center in Centerville.
He was born April 29, 1916 in Savanna, Iowa the son Hiley Bethnel Foglesong and Mae Celeste Templeman Foglesong. He married Juanita Smith, April 25, 1942 of Chariton, MO. Ira was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who enjoyed being with family at all times. He farmed in his entire life and enjoyed working on the farm and going to ""Old Thrashers"".
Ira is survived by sons; Larry (Jeri) Foglesong of Moulton, Charles Lonnie( Tammi) Foglesong of Colona, IL, Bobbie Gene (Missy) Foglesong of Moulton, Jackie Claire (Carolyn) Foglesong of Moulton, Phillip Craig (Marcia) Foglesong of Centerville, Clayton Lynn Foglesong of Moulton, a daughter Sheila Kay Koffman of Albia, 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita, a daughter Dixie D. Everett, a grandson Kyle, granddaughter Michelle Martin, his parents, two brothers Orville and Henry Foglesong and a daughter in law JoAnn Foglesong and two son- in- laws, Tom Koffman and Ed Evverett.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, September 26, 2011 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville. Burial will follow the service in the Exline Cemetery in Exline, Iowa. A visitation will be held Sunday at Lange Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 PM. Memorials have been established to Hospice Care Initiatives and may be left at Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544. Condolences may be left online at www.langefh.com.
