Inez Esther Rohl's Obituary
Inez Esther Rohl, age 101, of Moulton, IA, died Friday, December 12, 2003, at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Albert Victor and Mary Eva (Hanson) Abrams on September 24, 1902, in Appanoose County near Diff, Iowa. She graduated from the Moulton Public Schools.In July of 1940, Inez was united in marriage to William H. Rohl, they were later divorced. Inez was an operator for the Farmer's Mutual Telephone Company for over 18 years in Moulton and also served as the Moulton City Clerk for over 30 years. She became a member of the Presbyterian Church in 1920, later transferring her membership to Moulton Christian Church. She was a member of the Women's Fellowship, Cultus Club, O.F.N. Club since 1930 and lifetime member of Moulton Historical Society. She loved people. Loved to raise flowers and share with relatives and friends.Inez was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Kyle Vern Abrams and sister, Orma Leora Abrams.She is survived by: son, Hans and his wife, Christina Rohl of San Antonio, Texas; several cousins.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at 10 AM at the Moulton Christian Church in Moulton, Iowa with Rev. Reg Higginbottom officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery west of Moulton.Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2003 from 1 till 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton with the family present from 6 till 8 pm.
