Ila Dene Lamb's Obituary
Ila Dene Lamb, age 88, of Moulton, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at her granddaughter's, Connie Haskell, & fiance Kenny Bevard home in Johnston, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Leslie and Florence (Howard) Kirby on August 3, 1926 in Kellog, Iowa. Ila attended Moulton Udell Schools. Ila was married to Hollan "Edward" Lamb of Centerville, Iowa on August 8, 1944. Ila was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved children and spent as much time as she could with little ones; she was also an accomplished seamstress.She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Edward (September 2012); sisters, Iris McNamnar and Erma Boss; and brother, Jerry Kirby. Ila is survived by: her daughter, Vineta Maxine Stewart and her husband, Charles, of Des Moines, Iowa; sons Kyle Lamb and his wife, Karen, of Moulton, Iowa, Everett Lamb and his wife, Dianna, of Davenport, Iowa, and Jackie Lamb and his wife, Rebecca, of Rockford, Illinois; brothers Pete Kirby of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dick Kirby of Moulton, Iowa and Delbert Kirby of Indianola, Iowa; sister, Ilo Jean Sturgeon of Emmetsburg, Indiana; a great aunt, Maxine Brunsman from Winterset, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa with Jerry Weller officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery, Moulton. Visitation will be held at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton on Saturday at 11am until the time of service. The family will be present on Saturday from 11am until the time of services. Memorials can be made to the First Responders of Moulton and can be left or mailed to the funeral home.
