I. Christine Anderson, age 93, of Centerville, Iowa and a former Moulton resident, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Robert Franklin and Ora Ethel (Wallace) Hanson on September 27, 1912 near Moulton, Iowa. She graduated from the Moulton Community Schools in 1930.On February 1, 1936, Christine was united in marriage to Doyle Anderson in Moulton. They farmed together near Moulton, Iowa. She was a school teacher for many years in a Rural Appanoose County School. Later she worked at the Extension Office in Appanoose County teaching cake decorating as well as teaching those at Indian Hills who needed their GED. Christine was a Master Home Maker in 1957, an award given out by the Wallace Farmer magazine. She was a member of the Farm Bureau, Republican Women, 50 year member of PEO Chapter F of Moulton, Moulton Christian Church, Sunday School Teacher as well as a 4-H Leader for many years. On October 2, 1996, she and Doyle were inducted into the Appanoose County Republican Hall of Fame.She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Doyle Anderson on October 8, 1998; daughters, Anne Norton and Sally Lynn Anderson; sisters, Lois Elliott and Dorothy Beach; daughter-in-law, Janet Anderson.Christine is survived by: her son, Jim Anderson and his wife, Margaret of Tinley Park, Illinois; grandchildren, Todd Norton, Fancy Loichinger, Joch Anderson, Christine Anderson and Wade Anderson; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 1 pm at the Moulton Christian Church in Moulton, Iowa with Rev. Reg Higginbottom officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery west of Moulton. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, 2006 from 1 pm till 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton with the family present from 6 pm till 8 pm at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to either the Moulton Christian Church or Oakland Cemetery and can be mailed to the To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of I.
