Helen Triebswetter's Obituary
Helen Triebswetter, age 90, of Centerville, Iowa, died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Frank and Bertha J. (Hixson) Cooper on October 20, 1916 in Mystic, Iowa. She graduated from the Centerville Community Schools. On May 4, 1936, Helen was united in marriage to Robert Triebswetter in Centerville, Iowa; they have celebrated over 71 years together. Helen and Robert owned and operated United Kennels which sold pure bred dogs and puppies through out the United States for over 40 years. She enjoyed children and early in her life, was a country school teacher. Helen was a member of Drake Avenue Christian Church, Garden Club, Women's Club and FB Club. She was active in Girl Scouts, Band Mothers and Choir Mothers.She was preceded in death by: her parents and a sister, Margaret Luse.Helen is survived by: her husband, Robert Triebswetter of Centerville, Iowa; daughters, Nancy Merrick and her husband, Donald of Clear Lake, Iowa and Betty Morgan of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Michael Merrick of Ottumwa, Iowa, James and his wife, Dawn Merrick of Mason City, Iowa, Craig and his wife, Sue Merrick of Albany, Oregon, John and his wife, Marla Merrick of Johnston, Iowa and Denise and her husband, Shane Miller of Shawnee, Kansas; great grandchildren, Matthew S. and Justin Merrick, Megan Merrick, Alan and Kimberly Merrick, Mathew J. and Kayla Merrick and Logan Miller; great, great, grandchild, Alexis Merrick, and a sister, Julia Seeds of Indianapolis, Indiana.
