Helen J. Scott, age 85 of Moravia, Iowa, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Roy and Ola Fenton Sulser on February 19, 1921 near Melrose, Iowa. She received her education in a Rural Country School.Helen was united in marriage to Harold Taylor in 1945 and later married Robert Scott in 1955. She was a homemaker.She was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands, Harold Taylor in 1952 and Robert Scott on August 7, 1977 and her brother, Earl Duane Sulser on February 4, 2000.Helen is survived by: her daughters, Betty Ashmore and her husband, Ed of Moravia, Iowa and Shirley Scott of Promise City, Iowa; brother, John Sulser on Plano, Iowa; Three grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2006 at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Jack Engle officiating. Burial will follow in the Brushy Cemetery north of Plano, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2006 from 1 pm till 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6 pm till 8 pm at the Funeral Home.Memorials can be made to the Brushy Cemetery and can be left at or mailed to the To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Helen J.
