Helen D. Harvey's Obituary
Helen 'Dot' Harvey, age 89, of Centerville, Iowa, died Monday, September 23, 2013 at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Donald S. and Neita (Hayes) Smith on February 9, 1924 near Numa, Iowa. She graduated from the Centerville Community High School in 1942.Helen worked for a time in San Diego, California at an Air Craft Manufacturer and while in San Diego, she was united in marriage to Robert Lee Harvey. When Robert was serving his country in the service, Helen moved back to Centerville and worked at Johnson Law Office, and later Wool Worth Department Store all in Centerville.In Death, Helen rejoins, her husband, Robert Lee Harvey; and her parents.Helen is survived by: her cousins, Bill Wilson of Numa, Iowa, Donna Farnsworth of Centerville, Iowa, Terry Baugh of Missouri and Gary Baugh of Alabama.Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Cindy Finn officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be held 1 hour before services at the funeral home with the family present.Memorials can be made to the donor's choice and left or mailed to the funeral home.
