Hazel Naomi Hall's Obituary
Hazel Naomi Hall, age 95, of Centerville, IA, died Sunday, October 26, 2003, at Oakwood Nursing & Rehab Center in Albia, IA. She was born the daughter of Fred and Sarah Ellen (Park) Inns on March 6, 1908 in Cantril, IA. She graduated from Cincinnati High School in 1926.Hazel was united in marriage to Melvin E. Hall on May 12, 1934 in Centerville, IA. She was a school teacher for 7 years in the Pleasant and Franklin townships, and later she was a homemaker. She lived in Davenport, IA for 38 years before moving to Centerville in 1979. She was a member of Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville and was a member of Lydia Circle.Hazel was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Melvin on February 16, 1980; daughter, Carol Ann Hall; brother, Sherman Inns; 3 sisters, Stella Inns, Anna Inns and Mary Buck.Surviving family members are: son, Dr. David Hall and his wife, Nancy of Urbandale, IA; daughter, Sara Webb of Bettendorf, IA; 7 grandchildren, Melanie Dierickx, Kathy Rohret, Joanne Marie Dierickx, Barbara Jones, David A. Hall, Damon Hall and Diana Benincaso and 2 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at 11:00 am at the Drake Avenue Christian Church with the Rev. Carl Heien officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, IA.Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with the family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be given to Drake Avenue Christian Church and may be left at or mailed to the To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Hazel Naomi Hall please visit our Sympathy Store.
