I recently sat in on Harriet's 70th Class Reunion with my sister, Suzanne Carmer, at Old Settlers. I must tell you how very much Harriet was missed, but her presence was felt by everyone. There were many memories shared, smiles, laughter and some tears, too.

We had an enjoyable visit during Grant and Madeline's dinner and wedding dance. You all have my sympathy and God's peace be with all!
Our condolences to her family, I worked with Gus when he was with Wayne County Mutual. We ate lunch several times and when he talked about Harriet, her name just rolled off his tongue! I went to Gus's visitation and talked to one of their sons. I described Gus to him as a man of hinesty and integrity! I will never forget his response. He said Dad likened this to him selling lumber, "Straight and True!" May they both Rest in Peace!!
