Harold Peck's Obituary
Harold Peck, 98, of Corydon passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at Wayne County Hospital. Harold was born on July 5, 1918 in Corydon to Louis and Marie (Olmstead) Peck. Harold served in the United States Navy. He owned a hardware store in the 50's for a short time in the Kansas City, Missouri area. He would later move back to Corydon and begin his life of farming. Harold enjoyed fishing, squirrel hunting, playing cards and pulling pranks on people. He was always joking around and kept things lively. Harold was the "fun" uncle for his nieces and nephews; they always looked forward to the trips to his farm. Survivors include many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, Wanda Peck of Corydon, Charlotte (Davis) Overton of Colorado and Martha Davis of Mesa, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice Peck, parents, and three siblings: Gene Peck, Richard Peck and Kathryn Hagberg. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 15, 2016 at Thomas-Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow in Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 3-5 p.m. at Thomas-Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon. Memorials may be given to the Corydon Christian Church and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
