In my living room hangs this record. The very start and point of origin of my recording career. Now, after 3000 records that bare my name in the credits, I share a post of extreme gratitude and one of sorrow at the passing of the man who made that very first record happen for me. Harold Hysell believed in me very early on and turned into a great family friend. Seeing his life's work in the form of an enormous family who he planted the musical seeds with makes me realize his legacy will carry on for many generations with pride. Rest easy, Harold, and thank you so, so much for all you did for me so very early on and for giving me the recording bug that I will be using again as soon as I finish this post. I'll be keeping his family in my thoughts and prayers tonight and fondly remembering my youth and time spent making music with Harold and his family.
