Harold L. Ellison's Obituary
Harold L. Ellison, age 91, of Moravia, Iowa and formally of Unionville, Iowa, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center's - Long Term Care in Centerville, Iowa. He was born the son of Walter and Alice (Robb) Ellison on December 25, 1915 near Bunch, Iowa. He attended a rural school in Davis County. In 1939, Harold was united in marriage to Wilma Cornett in Moulton, Iowa and later was united in marriage to Evelyn Wicker on November 5, 1979 in Centerville, Iowa. He was a farmer in the Unionville, Iowa area for many years.He was preceded in death by: his parents; his 1st wife, Wilma Ellison on June 24, 1972 and his 2nd wife, Evelyn Ellison on January 15, 1997.Harold is survived by: his sons, Lee Ellison and his wife, Belva of Unionville, Iowa and Richard Ellison and his wife, Donna of Wheatland, Wyoming; daughter, Carole Shahan and her husband, Leon of Burlington, Iowa; step-sons, Wayne Boland of Cincinnati, Iowa and Jon Boland of Albia, Iowa; step-daughters, Lori Boland of Centerville, Iowa and Dana Cameron of Coralville, Iowa; brothers, Donald and Claudie Ellison both of Unionville, Iowa; sister, Doris Burkhalter also of Unionville, Iowa; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Jerry Weller officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery east of Unionville, Iowa.
