Harold Wayne Birkland's Obituary
Harold Wayne Birkland, 81 of Allerton passed away on September 13, 2017 at the Wayne County Hospital. Harold was born to John & Bonnalee (Halley) Birkland near Powersville, Missouri on July 25, 1936. He received his education from Allerton High School. Harold loved the outdoors and loved spending time on his farm. His most special moments were spent with his family; and evenings walking out to the pasture with Clydine and Buddy to check their cows. Harold was a husband, father, grandfather and brother-in-law, who will be dearly missed. Survivors include his wife Clydine Birkland, sons Richard Birkland, Rodney Birkland (Toni), and Randy Birkland (Michelle), daughter Kem Claude (Tracy), ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, sister-in-law Louise Birkland, step sister Carolyn Hydorn (Doyle) and his constant companion Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother Verda Birkland, brother Jim Birkland, step sisters Elaine Williams and Norma Hammons. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Visitation will be one hour prior to service from 1-2 p.m. Interment will immediately follow service in Allerton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
