Jackie, Scott, and Alex,
Words cannot adequately express how saddened my family and I are to learn of your loss with Grant's passing. Having known Grant as both Thad's close friend and a student, his impact on our lives has been tremendous, both personally and professionally. Grant was an absolute joy to have in class - inquisitive, dedicated, and hardworking, and we knew we could always count on him to be a positive leader both inside and outside the classroom. Grant, though, was even more important to our family on a personal level; we always considered him to be part of our extended family. As I reflect on Thad growing up, most of our happy memories are memories of the times he spent with Grant. From playing together at Kid's World to attending TAG competitions and the Chicago trip to simply walking home with him and stopping at Bratz for popcorn or just spending the night at your house, Thad thoroughly looked forward to and enjoyed hanging out with Grant. All of you, but Grant especially, took him in like a member of your family, and Thad thought of Grant like a brother he didn't have. Grant was truly one in a million; we are truly blessed to have known him, and he has and will continue to have a lasting impact on us. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with you. Much, much love. Camie, Tom, & Thad Hill
