Gracie 'Jeannie' Johnson, age 69, of Moulton, IA, died Monday, December 29, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, IA. She was born the daughter of LeRoy and Evelyn J. (Van Dyke) Abbott on December 23, 1934 in Coal City, IA. She received her education in the Centerville Community Schools.Gracie was united in marriage to Jeremiah Johnson on March 31, 1955 in Moulton, IA. She was a home maker and a member of Moulton United Methodist Church.Gracie was preceded in death by: her parents and brother Edward LeRoy Abbott.Surviving family members are: husband, Jeremiah Johnson of Moulton, IA; 2 sons, Orville Lee Johnson and his wife, Christi of Ottumwa, IA and James Edward Johnson of Moulton, IA; daughter, Neada Johnson of Ottumwa, IA; 2 brothers, James 'John' Abbott of Marysville, MO and Arthur Gerald Abbott of Brighton, IA; sister, Ellen 'Tyke' Sleeth of Exline, IA and 5 grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 1:00 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Homes in Moulton with the Bert Johnson officiating.
