Grace Foster's Obituary
Grace Foster, age 96, of Centerville, Iowa, died Friday, March 28, 2008 at Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Goodwin and Ethel (Tarbell) Wetmore on February 14, 1912 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from the Centerville Community Schools in 1929.On August 5, 1929, Grace was united in marriage to Jake Foster in Corydon, Iowa and to this union, four children were born. She was a telephone operator for the CA Farrington Telephone Company. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed serving meals to her family and friends. She was a lifelong member of the Centerville Boots and Saddle Club and a member of the 18/80 Club both in Centerville.She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Harold Foster on April 19, 1953; daughter, Shirley Condra on January 18, 2007; sisters, Glenna Ray and Edith Richardson; a brother, Harry Wetmore; and a son-in-law, Larry Kaster.Grace is survived by: her husband, Jake Foster of Centerville, Iowa; daughters, Dixie Kaster of Kansas City, Kansas and Roma Underwood and her husband, James of West Wood, Kansas; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and ten great, great grandchildren; son-in-laws, Carl Condra of Grain Valley, Missouri and Jim Underwood of Shawnee-Mission, Kansas.Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 2 pm at the To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Grace Foster please visit our Sympathy Store.
