Gloria J Staniger's Obituary
Gloria J. Staniger, age 83 of Centerville, Iowa died Monday evening, December 9, 2013at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville.
Gloria was born October 18, 1930 in Centerville, the daughter of Joseph Zucco and Giacomina (Cambuzzi ) Zucco. She graduated from Centerville High School, and was married to Charles Staniger, who preceded her in death in 1978. She was employed by Hy-Vee for 35 years as a cashier; she was also employed as a cashier for both True Value and Dollar General. Gloria lived most of her life in Centerville and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Centerville. She enjoyed working in her yard and helping and taking care of people.
She is survived by a sister Norma Teresa Zucco of Warrenville, IL, and a brother Joe (Margaret) Zucco of Omaha, NE; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, parents, and brothers Aldo and Louis Zucco.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Centerville with Fr. Bill Hubmann officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 PM Friday evening at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Centerville. A memorial has been established to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Mercy Medical Center, Long Term Care and may be left at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory. Condolences may be left at www.langefh.com
