Glenice Mae Burns' Obituary
Glenice Mae Burns, age 75 of Moulton, Iowa died on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Laurel and Cora (Horn) Clinkenbeard on January 13, 1936 near Moulton, Iowa. She graduated from the Moulton Community Schools in 1953.On April 11, 1954, Glenice was united in marriage to Robert Burns at the Moulton Christian Church in Moulton. She worked at the Moulton-Udell Community Schools in the Cafeteria and later would work for the Farmers Mutual Telephone Company in Moulton. She was a member of the Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church in Centerville.She is preceded in death by: her parents; granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Burns; two great grandchildren, Madison and Micah Burns.Glenice is survived by: her husband, Robert Burns of Moulton, Iowa; son, Neil Burns and his wife, Cindy of Fremont, Nebraska; daughters, Roberta Freeborn of Moulton, Iowa and Glenda Jensen and her husband, Bruce of Centerville, Iowa; a brother, Doyle Clinkenbeard of Centerville, Iowa; and a sister, Felva Tait of Moulton, Iowa; five grandchildren, Marshall Burns and his wife, Gretchen, Zachary Burns and his wife, Alissa, Neilea Ficek and her husband, Joel, Aura Aguirre and her husband, Edwin, Lizzie Freeborn and Alicia Davenport; and two great grandchildren, Ethan Burns and Titus Ficek.Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 1 pm at the Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Brian Hargrave officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 2 pm until 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with the family present from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church and can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
