Gerald Massey's Obituary
Gerald Seddon Massey, age 79, of Mystic, Iowa died at home on April 21, 2004. The body has been cremated. A graveside service at Highland Cemetery in Mystic will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 24, 2004.
Gerald Massey was born on July 4, 1924 in Mystic, Iowa. He was the son of Lee and Mae Massey. He married Joyce Collins on September 7, 1946. Prior to their retirement, they owned and operated a series of businesses in Rock Island and Geneseo, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, sons Gary (wife Jane) of Moline, Illinois, Dennis (wife Karen) of Ottumwa, Iowa, Michael (wife Lisa) of Mystic, Iowa and a daughter, Deborah (husband John) DeBoever of Geneseo, Illinois. Nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive him.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Robert. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Highland Cemetery Association [c/o City Hall - 304 Main Street - Mystic, IA 52574]. Thomas Lange Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
