My thoughts, prayers & spirit are with all of you during this difficult time. Jerry was one of the few truly good men in the world; he adored his wife, my Aunt Betty, and had great love & joy in every relationship he had with everyone in his family or in business. There was nothing fake or plastic about Jerry, what you saw was what he was, and he was truly happy just being himself. I'm grateful for his kindness to me and for his gentle way of teaching me thru his own example, to do the best I can each day, to accept that and not berate myself for imagined failures, but, most importantly, how to laugh...how to laugh fully and completely, till your sides ached. He also demonstrated how a REAL husband treats his wife...with compassion, understanding & love. Their children carry that legacy now, I know that there is no stopping My Dear Uncle, he lives on in the hearts & lives of their father & grandfather, he lives on in the stories we share with one another, the remembrances we laugh or cry about together when telling the stories. We miss him because he touched our lives so deeply. Rest Well, Uncle Jerry, you deserve the respite. We still have things to accomplish (and projects to paint..) (but, I CANT go yet, I still have WOOD to PAINT!) Will the circle be unbrokenBy and by, Lord, by and byThere's a better home a-waitingIn the sky, Lord, in the sky....
