Gerald E. Cabossart's Obituary
Gerald E. Cabossart, age 47 of Cincinnati, Iowa passed away Friday evening, November 14, 2008 at the Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Gerald was born June 16, 1961, the son of Joseph E. and Elaine (Carr) Cabossart. He married Lola Sleeth June 8, 1985 in Exline, Iowa. They later divorced. He had previously worked in Moravia at the Saw Mill. He enjoyed woodworking, building model boats, airplanes, cars, trucks. He also enjoyed country music, football, and reading country western books. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Gerald is survived by his children, Lucrecia (Jon) Kimm of Centerville, IA, Amy Schwering of Cincinnati, IA, Amanda (Joeseph) Garner of Centerville, and Mark (Kimberly) Summers of Centerville; mother, Elaine of Cincinnati, IA; siblings, Joetta Cabossart of Ottumwa, IA, Darrell Eugene (Deb) Cabossart of Waukee, IA, Mark Allen (Susan) Cabossart of Cincinnati, IA, Donnie Ray Cabossart of Louisville, KY, and Freda Miller of Ottumwa, IA. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Lange Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Walsh officiating. Burial will follow services in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, IA. Visitation will open to the public at 9:00 A.M. Monday November 17, 2008 at the Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with the family being present from 6-8 P.M. Monday evening.
