Georgia Mae McCullough's Obituary
Georgia Mae McCullough, age 98, of Moulton, Iowa, died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Joe and Minnie Lee (Hubler) Linden on August 1, 1908 near Moulton, Iowa. She graduated from the Moulton School in 1926, and last year, had attended her 80th Class Reunion. On May 19, 1935, Georgia was united in marriage to Glen A. McCullough in Bloomfield, Iowa. She taught school for a time in one room school houses in rural Southern Iowa. She was a member of Moulton Christian Church where she also played the organ and piano, a member of the GFWC Cultus Club, HCS Club, spent over 20 years on the Cancer Board and was a 4-H leader for many years.She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Glen A. McCullough; daughter, Marjorie Houser; son-in-laws, Dr. Larry Houser and Herb Bush; sister, Ethel Linden; brothers, Lloyd, Ray, Clint and Myrl Linden.Georgia is survived by: her daughters, Rev. Elaine Bush of Centralia, Illinois and Janet Houser of Newton, Iowa; grandchildren, Glynis and her husband, Wayne Worthington of Waterloo, Iowa, Kristina Houser of Lafayette, Colorado, Lisa Houser Cooper and Scott Rasmus of Crofton, Maryland and Marni and her husband, Jason Beck of Ankeny, Iowa; great grandchildren, Wayne, Glynn, John and Elizabeth Worthington all of Waterloo, Iowa, Jesse and Kim Bacon of Lafayette, Colorado, Ryannan Ruckman of Ames, Iowa and Haley and Jacob Beck of Ankeny, Iowa; one great, great grandchild, Alex Bacon of Leon, Iowa; and a special care giver, Colleen Hetzler of Moulton, Iowa.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa with her daughter, Rev. Elaine Bush officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa.
