George L. Valentine's Obituary
George Louis Valentine, age 56, of Plano, Iowa died Thursday November 23, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, Iowa.
George was born April 18, 1950, the son of Louis and Esther (George) Valentine in Moline, IL. He attended Seymour High School. George married Becky Brazil in 1969. He owned and operated Valentine Enterprises and donated time to many organizations. He was an avid deer, pheasant hunter, loved to fish, collect guns and was known for his big heart.
George is survived by his mother, Esther of Plano; two children, Angela (Jim) Stufflebeem of Moravia, IA and Matt (Kristin) Valentine of Mt. Home, ID; six grandchildren, Shelby and Spencer Stufflebeem, Morgan, Michael, Leighanne and Mark Valentine; an aunt and uncle, Jon (Eva) Valentine of Rock Island, IL. George was preceded in death by his father, Louis.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Fr. Ron Will C.PP.S officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery, Centerville, Iowa. A visitation will be held Monday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to the family and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S 18th St., Centerville, IA 52544.
